The first Fox Kids channel in the UK was launched in October 1996 and the Fox Kids Europe (FKE) was incorporated in November 1999 with 75.7% being held by Fox Family Worldwide (FFW) with the balance of ownership listed on Euronext.

On December 8, 2008, Disney made an agreement to increase ownership in Jetix Europe to 96% and intends to purchase the remainer and have Jetix Europe delisted from the Euronext Amsterdam exchange.

The group was formed in 2003, after several rounds of tryouts for the Fox Kids Network.

Then, Jetix began airing reruns on September 9, 2005, as a prelude to the release of Peter Jackson's King Kong.
The strip was the first Power Rangers strip to be written by Transformers writer Simon Furman, collaborating for the first time on the PR strip with equally popular TF artist Andrew Wildman, who had previously done artwork for other Power Rangers strips under Jetix Magazines' previous banner of Fox Kids' Wicked.
In 2002 he became president of entertainment for Disney Channel, before being named president of Disney Channels Worldwide in 2004, where he oversaw the Disney Channel, Disney XD, Playhouse Disney, Disney Cinemagic, Hungama, GXT, Jetix, and Radio Disney brands.
She was asked by Jetix/Dolfinarium Harderwijk to write and sing the title song for the popular TV series Spetter (Mijn allerbeste vriend) and following this came the request to sing the Dutch version of the main duet of High School Musical 2, by Disney.
