In 1924, the town, together with a few other settlements, was returned to the SCS Kingdom in exchange for the town of Jimbolia and a few other settlements, which were transferred to Romania.
It is about 120 km away from the capital city of Belgrade, 113 km from Novi Sad, 9 km south-east of Kikinda and 6 km south-west of Jimbolia, Romania.
After study trips in Austria, Germany and Italy, Jäger in 1910 established himself in Hatzfeld (today Jimbolia), where he spent the rest of his life.
