3 unusual facts about John Du Cann

Live and Raw 70/71

The original BBC master tapes of these concerts are now lost, and the source was an old tape, belonging to John Du Cann, of a very poor quality off-air recording.

Live at the Marquee 1980

No known live soundboard recordings exist of the 1980 (Crane/Du Cann/Hammond) lineup of Atomic Rooster and the source cassette tape, belonging to Du Cann, was recorded via a single onstage microphone.

Pete Kircher

This, in turn, directly led to Kircher's induction into a group of session musicians for John Du Cann's The World's Not Big Enough album in 1977, which was produced by Quo's guitarist Francis Rossi.

The First 10 Explosive Years

It is on the Angel Air record label and, like all their Atomic Rooster and related-artists releases, is derived from original tapes owned and remastered by John Du Cann.
