Clive Williamson formed the UK group Symbiosis in 1987, making ambient, soundtrack and healing music with founder-members flautist John Hackett and Richard Bolton (guitars and cello).

In 2003/4, he recorded John Hackett and pianist Sally Goodworth's album "Velvet Afternoon" and designed the cover for that album and John Hackett’s later solo release: "Checking Out of London" (March 2005).

In 1978-1989 he played, extensively toured and recorded with ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, and his flutist brother John Hackett.
The authorities become suspicious and two policemen (John Hackett and Lennie Weinrib) visit the house to investigate.
In 2005, the manor was purchased by Sir John Hackett together with his Wife Valentina Hackett and was sold again following extensive Flooding in 2008, it was then renamed to "Maja" just prior to its sale in 2010.

His father was John Hackett, and his grandfather was noted Kentucky frontiersman and militiaman of the American Revolution, Peter Hackett.
