During his undergraduate work he was active in the central New York music scene promoting or assisting with over fifty shows including: Aerosmith, Boston, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Billy Joel, Kiss, John Mayall, Queen, Bob Seger and Bruce Springsteen.
Through the years the band has played with internationally renowned artists such as John Mayall, Robben Ford, Ronnie Earl, Shakura S'Aida, Diane Blue and Martha High.

Throughout his time as an author and editor, Herber played bass guitar for blues and rock bands across the United States, including Detroit's Progressive Blues Band, Dr. John, Bonnie Raitt, Mitch Ryder, The Thunderbirds and opening for The Temptations, John Mayall, The Violent Femmes, and others.
Since moving to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1992, Wynans has played keyboards for a number of country artists including Brooks & Dunn, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, and Hank Williams Jr. Wynans has also played for blues artists Buddy Guy, John Mayall, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Colin James, Ana Popovic and Los Lonely Boys.
