Joseph Putzer (4 March, 1836, Rodeneck, County of Tyrol, Austrian Empire - 15 May, 1904, Ilchester, Maryland, USA) was an Austrian Redemptorist theologian and canonist.

Later, at the suggestion of Tobias Mullen, Bishop of Erie, Pennsylvania, he published a commentary on episcopal faculties (intended for the United States), a work which was afterwards revised and enlarged by Joseph Putzer.
