The prospect of closer reapproachment between Russia and the Islamic world has been emerged in 2003 when Vladimir Putin took part in the meeting of the most important international institution of the Islamic world - the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
