While the Register went to Gannett and the Register and Tribune Syndicate (best known as syndicators of The Family Circus) went to Hearst as a King Features division, KCCI and WESH went to H&C Communications.
By the time of the septuplets' tenth birthday in 2007, the family was declining most requests for interviews other than annual stories with Des Moines television station KCCI television and Ladies' Home Journal magazine.
In 1990, Taylor left KCCI to work full-time at Iowa State as director of athletic fundraising.
