Meanwhile, the former occupant of 92.3, KKFR, went through changes; its intellectual property was acquired by Riviera Broadcast Group (which already owned KEDJ and two stations in Las Vegas), and shortly thereafter moved to 98.3 FM licensed to Mayer, which was KKLD in Prescott Valley.
In 2006, the calls and format briefly moved to 98.3 FM in Prescott Valley, the former home of KKLD, until the signal was moved closer to the Phoenix market (with City of license in Mayer) and became the new home for KKFR.
