Cindy Velasquez is a former broadcast executive for Channel 7, KMGH-TV, and Channel 9, KUSA-TV, in Denver, Colorado and has a daughter, Pilar.
In college, he interned at KMGH-TV in Denver, and was an avid storm chaser throughout college, as well as, the treasurer of the American Meteorology Society at UNC.
Hired by KMGH, Channel 7 as a news reporter in 1965, she was promoted to Public Affairs Director and transferred to Channel 7’s affiliate in Bakersfield, California in 1973, remaining with the station until her retirement in 1996.
They have shown work internationally in many exhibitions including a soloukhyugl,kmgh,mn, g, show at the Essl Foundation in Vienna, 2008, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León, León, Spain in 2006, the 2001 Berlin Biennale, “The Triumph of Painting” at the Saatchi Gallery in London, the 2004 São Paulo Biennale, De Appel in 2002, “Melodrama” at MARCO in Vigo and “Fantasies and Curiosities” at the Miami Art Museum.
Robinson worked for WBBM-TV until 1987, when she joined the staff of WFLD-TV in Chicago as part of its first evening news anchoring team, alongside fellow KMGH alum Kris Long.
