KMVT

KMVT became the first station to air Apple Computer's famous "1984" commercial on December 31, 1983, before midnight, to ensure the ad would qualify for the year 1984's advertising awards, which only counted ads aired in 1983.

Previous Fox affiliate KXTF simulcasted a weeknight prime time newscast at 9 but that show was technically produced by KPVI for its co-owned station KFXP in the Pocatello/Idaho Falls market.

KTWT-LD

Locally-owned, KTWT is sister to CBS/CW affiliate KMVT and the two outlets share studios on Blue Lakes Boulevard North/U.S. 93 in Twin Falls.

In December 1983, Apple purchased time on KMVT in Twin Falls, Idaho, after the normal sign-off and recorded the broadcast in order to qualify.
