An electronic version of the game, called Bantumi, was included on the Nokia 3310. The handset went on to sell 126 million units making Bantumi the best selling version of the game.
Champion invented the board game of Kalah in 1940 and worked for years to popularize the game in the United States.

Projects in 2010 include his third opera, "PRO PATRIA" (Losing and Winning) based on a novel "Kalah dan Menang" by celebrated Indonesian author Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana commissioned by Bimasena, and a modern ballet based on the legend "Joko Tarub", a collaboration with Chendra Panatan.
