Ashtavakra

In the Aranya Kanda of Adhyatma Ramayana, the demon Kabandha narrates his story to Rama and Lakshmana, in which he says that he was a Gandharva earlier who was cursed by Ashtavakra to become a demon when he laughed on seeing him (Ashtavakra).

Greco guitars

;1960–1961: FujiGen, an early manufacturer of Greco, was established in Matsumoto city by Yutaka Mimura and Yuichiro Yokouchi in May 4, 1960, and started to manufacture the classical guitars for Kanda Shokai and Kamano Gakki.

Kanda, Kodža i Nebojša

During the same year, the band started collaborating with the composer Irena Popović at the BELEF festival, with whom, in 2006, the band worked on a rock opera Mozart... Luster... Lustig, covering the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The album, featuring live recordings, made on May and October 1995 at the Belgrade KST, and studio material, including "Put za Tunu" ("The Road to Tuna"), "Priroda" ("Nature"), featuring guest appearance by Darkwood Dub vocalist Dejan "Vuča" Vučetić, "Toma Bebić", dedicated to the singer Toma Bebić, "Visokogradnja" ("Buildnigs") and "Sisa" ("Tit"), the latter two already being released on the various artists compilation Mi smo za mir (We Are for Peace).

In 1996, guitarist Rastko Lupulović, also working as an actor, made the decision to become a monk, parting to the Visoki Dečani monastery, and getting the monk name Ilarion.

Kanda, Tokyo

A popular Japanese television series, Zenigata Heiji, features a fictitious police patrolman (the title character) whose beat is Kanda.

Kataragama

The deity at Kataragama is indigenous and long-celebrated in Sri Lankan lore and legend, and originally resides on the top of mountain called Wædahiti Kanda (or hill of the indigenous Vedda people) just outside of the Kataragama town.
