Hasan Mahboob Ali (born Silas Kirui on 31 December 1981 in Kapsabet) is a Bahraini long-distance runner.
Born in Kamobo village, near Kapsabet, Rono won the gold medal at the Africa Cross Country Championships in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1985 and in 1986 he was the silver medallist in the 1500m at the World Junior Championships in Athens, Greece.

Georgina J. Rono (born 19 May 1980 in Kapsabet, Rift Valley Province) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in marathon running.
He busied himself in the new school and would cycle back to Kapsabet where the translation of the Bible to Nandi had begun.
