In 1981, he established the Distribution of Consumer Electronics business of the Thakral Group in Hong Kong, ultimately leading to the creation of Thakral Corporation Ltd, a separate company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
Klippgen was one of four judges on the show alongside Patrick Grove (co-founder of the Catcha Group), Ken Mandel (Managing Director of Buddy Media Asia Pacific) and Karan Singh Thakral (Executive Director of the Thakral Group of Companies).
