Jane's granddaughter, Katherine More, was at the centre of a bizarre incident that occurred between her and her husband Samuel More from about 1616 to 1620.
He boarded the Mayflower with his wife and two servants, one of whom, Elias Story, died early along with an 8-year old girl in his care, Ellen More.
Samuel More was the husband of Katherine More, whose father, Jasper More, was master of Larden, a 1000-acre estate between Much Wenlock and Ludlow in Shropshire, England.
