Kazakhstan men's national junior ice hockey team

Kazakhstan boosted plenty of returning players from 2008 upon coming to Ottawa, Canada, to compete in the 2009 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

In 2007, Kazakhstan was finally promoted by edging Norway 3–2 in an IIHF U20 Division I tournament in Torre Pellice, Italy.

The team sent to the 1982 Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota was the first true national junior team sent.

Darren Croft

Croft was first called up to represent Australia in 2000 where he joined the national under-20 team to compete in the 2000 IIHF World U20 Championship Pool D tournament being held in Mexico City, Mexico Australia finished seventh while Croft managed one goal from his four games.

Jakub Jeřábek

Jeřábek captained the junior Czech Republic tean at the 2011 World Junior Championships and was the third highest scoring defenceman of the tournament, after Ryan Ellis and Dmitri Orlov.

Jukka Rautakorpi

From 1997-1999 Rautakorpi coached various Finnish junior teams including the under-18 team at the 1998 IIHF European U18 Championship winning silver, and the under-20 team in the 1999 IIHF World U20 Championship finishing 5th.

Nicklas Jensen

Seven months later, Jensen joined Denmark's under-20 team, competing in Division I of the 2010 World Junior Championships, held in Megeve and Saint-Gervais, France.

Perry Pearn

Pearn served twice as an assistant coach with Canada's national junior team at the IIHF World Junior Championships (1990, 1991).

Sean Oultram

Oultram was first called up to represent Australia in 2004, where he joined the national under-20 tean to compete in the 2005 IIHF World U20 Championship Division II Group B tournament being held in Puigcerdà, Spain.

Volleyball at the 2006 Asian Games

Due to scheduling conflicts with 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, China, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan and South Korea alongside the host team Qatar qualified directly to the quarterfinal stage.
