Keith Skipper, the Eastern Daily Press journalist and champion of the Norfolk dialect, was born in the village.
The Eastern Daily Press columnist Keith Skipper claimed that Sugden is "probably the county’s finest ambassador who captures the true spirit of Norfolk, teaches it tricks, then sends it to run riot across the land".
He was born at Beeston, Norfolk and currently lives in Cromer, He is a champion of the Norfolk dialect, and was a founder of F.O.N.D. (Friends of Norfolk Dialect).
