It was subsequently absorbed into Aljunied Group Representation Constituency along with Kampong Ubi ward in prior to 1988 elections which was helmed by George Yeo and the ward was fully dissolved when the ward was redrawn in prior to 2001 elections that sees 2 different wards out of the 5 wards Aljunied GRC with the name of Kembangan.
The station was installed with Rite Hite Revolution High Volume, Low Speed (HVLS) fans and have been in operation since 14 July 2012 together with Kembangan.
