The video for "Prison Sex" was created with stop-motion animation techniques, and was directed by the band's guitarist Adam Jones (who had previous experience in art direction and animation, including work on the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park) and was edited by Ken Andrews.

Working with a larger budget now that the band was on DreamWorks Records, the album featured an impressive roster of production credits, including: Richard Dodd, a Grammy-Award winning engineer; Hugh Padgham, a legendary British producer; and Ken Andrews, formerly of the band Failure.
In its initial, short lived incarnation, the band featured Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Ian Astbury of The Cult, Shannon Leto of Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jay Gordon and Ryan Shuck of Orgy and Julien-k, Doug Ardito of Puddle of Mudd, Ken Andrews of Failure, Martyn LeNoble of Porno for Pyros, and Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age.
The band recorded the album with producer Ken Andrews (Pete Yorn, Mae) in Los Angeles in spring 2007.
Local Vancouver Island players in the 1990 team included John Hughes, David Ravenhill, Ian Bridge, Dallas Moen, Frank Woods, Ken Andrews, Rick Jaskens, and Ron Budisa, all of whom played at Royal Athletic Park in a four team tournament in either 1991 or 1992 against Vancouver 86ers, Dundee United FC, and a Chelsea FC line-up which included Welsh international and later actor Vinnie Jones.
