Hunter McKay is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street who was portrayed by Lee Donoghue from December 2006, as part of a new family unit consisting of parents Callum McKay (Peter Mochrie) and Justine Jones (Laurie Foell) and younger sister Sophie McKay (Kimberley Crossman), up until March 2012.

Hunter arrived to New Zealand with sister, Sophie (Kimberley Crossman) in December 2006 and instantly got in trouble with airport security, much to parents Callum (Peter Mochrie) and Justine's (Laurie Foell) anger.
In 2010 Kimberley travelled to Los Angeles to host a half-hour special for New Zealand audiences about the 2010 Teen Choice Awards.

She has also worked as a fill-in host on New Zealand radio station Classic Hits, periodically co-hosting the Auckland breakfast show with Jason Reeves and Justin Brown whilst usual host Stacey Morrison was on maternity leave in 2012.

Kieran's story arc's would often see him portrayed as an antagonist but the character also had numerous romances and light storylines, including two engagements to Libby Jeffries (Fleur Saville) and a short lived marriage to schoolgirl Sophie McKay (Kimberley Crossman).
