Lisa Norman (born 1979) is a shinty player and manager from Kincardine, Fife, Scotland.
Alexander Bruce, 2nd Earl of Kincardine FRS (1629–1681) was a Scottish inventor, politician, judge and freemason, responsible for developing the pendulum clock, in collaboration with Christiaan Huygens.
The Caird Baronetcy, of Glenfarquhar in the County of Kincardine, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on 26 January 1928 for the Scottish shipowner James Caird.
In 2005 the new crossing was given the go-ahead, and construction began in June 2006, with the sod-cutting ceremony performed by the Scottish Transport Minister, Tavish Scott, accompanied by the Earl of Elgin who as a boy had performed the ceremony for the Kincardine Bridge.
The shaft of the old 17th century Kincardine Mercat cross stands in the square of Fettercairn, and is notched to show the measurements of an ell.
Under Scottish Executive funding, and to relieve congestion on the Forth Bridge, the line between Stirling and Alloa was reopened to passenger traffic, and the line to Kincardine was rebuilt for coal traffic to Longannet.
