The Student Center also includes the Kiva Room, a round, 360-degree room patterned after spaces used in Native American cultures, on the north end of the second floor.
It is essentially "L"-shaped with two wings extending from a circular "Kiva." The foundation and first story is constructed of local, well-cut stone.
15% of the benefit were donated to Kiva, a welfare organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty.
It would later be included in the Kamen Rider Kiva soundtracks and it was also featured on the "Song Attack Ride" album series during the broadcast of the successor to Kiva, Kamen Rider Decade, where it was remixed by Rider Chips and Shuhei Naruse.

In the next years, Michael Stearns worked again with Ron Fricke, scoring Baraka, his best known composition and released several albums, working with Steve Roach, Kevin Braheny and/or Ron Sunsinger (1989 : Desert Solitaire, 1994 : Singing Stones and Kiva) or alone (1993 : Sacred Sites, 1995 : The Lost World).
These concepts have now been instituted by Energy in Common and Kiva in their green fund.
