Klopfzeichen is the first full-length album by German experimental music trio Kluster.
Both Schnitzler and Moebius had been students of Joseph Beuys at the Düsseldorf Fine Arts Academy in the 1960s.

Rinne also worked closely with the Sami yoik singer Wimme on his four albums, produced the accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen's albums Kielo and Kluster and composed music for numerous television series, documentaries, films, dance pieces, and circus shows.
