Knowle, West Midlands

Knowle does not have its own railway station, but nearby Dorridge railway station, on the Chiltern Main Line, was previously known as Knowle and Dorridge.


Eastleigh to Fareham line

In the late 19th century the central part of the tunnel collapsed and the decision was made to build a double-track bypass line to the west through a cutting (to reduce the incline) on more stable ground, which rejoined the main line at Knowle Junction near Funtley.

Frederick Hazell

He was Priest-in-charge of Chard Furnham with Chaffcombe, Knowle St Giles and Cricket Malherbie from 1995 to 1999; and of St Bartholomew, Tardebigge from 2000 to 2004.

Knowle Hospital
