Kobar residents are from several families, mainly the Al Barghouthi, Rayyan (Shannan), Dar Yousef, Dar Yasin, Dar Amriyah, Dar Badwan, Dar Abu al Hajj, Dar al Fahel, Al Masa‟da families .
