In 2012, US Ambassador to Kosovo, Christopher Dell, accused the newspaper of promoting the political aspirations of Veton Surroi.
Sokol Shameti has collaborated with a number of newspapers and broadcasting operators in Albania and abroad including Gazeta Shqiptare, Koha Jone, Korrieri, Klan Television, Institute for War and Peace Reporting, La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, Courrier International, Koha Ditore, etc.
Veton Surroi in 1997 established one of the biggest Kosovo Albanian daily newspapers Koha Ditore and was the editor-in-chief for a number of years before deciding to enter politics in Kosovo.
He initially worked as an economics journalist in daily Zeri and Koha Ditore, and was later one of the founders of daily Express.
Marina Škrabalo's research says: "In February/March 1994, ZaMir servers were installed in Ljubljana and besieged Sarajevo, followed by the set up of the Priština server ZANA, administered by the independent newspaper Koha in October 1994. The network was considerably improved in spring 1995, when the Zagreb, Sarajevo and Belgrade servers were enlarged and a new server, with direct international telephone access was installed in Tuzla".
