For the promotion of KooKoo, Chrysalis Records planned to display large posters of the album cover in various stations of the London Underground.

The 7" edit of "Backfired" appears on the Chrysalis Records/EMI compilation Most of All - The Best of Deborah Harry. A remix of the track by Bruce Forrest and Frank Heller was included on the 1988 Blondie/Debbie Harry remix compilation Once More into the Bleach. The original extended 12" mix from 1981 appears as a bonus track on both the 1994 and 2005 CD re-issues of the album Koo Koo.
The band's three principal songwriters, Deborah Harry, Chris Stein and Jimmy Destri instead recorded two solo projects; Harry and Stein the album Koo Koo with Chic's Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers and Destri his first solo album Heart on a Wall.
Picciolini also managed, co-managed or released albums for such musical acts as Flatfoot 56, The Frantic, Street Dogs, Treaty of Paris (band), The Briggs, Joey Briggs, Blacklist Royals, State and Madison, Urbanites, The Noise FM, Random55, Dead Town Revival, The Spent .50s, Graham Isaacson, Koo Koo Kanga Roo, and The Tattle Tales.
