2006 Miami RedHawks football team

Purdue beat Miami by a score of 38-31 when the RedHawks failed score a touchdown in overtime after the Boilermaker’s Kory Sheets scored the game-winning touchdowns in their overtime possession.

2007 Purdue Boilermakers football team

Kory Sheets led the Boilermakers in rushing with 12 attempts for 27 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Kory Sheets finished the season with 1,598 rushing yards, 215 yards behind Jon Cornish who led the league with 1813 rushing yards.

Sheets attended Purdue University, where he played for head coach, Joe Tiller.

The Boilermakers had a cumulative record of 25–25 // 13-19 Big Ten; with a win in the 2007 Motor City Bowl and an appearance in the 2006 Champs Sports Bowl.

Sheets holds the professional football (NFL and CFL) number two spot for the most yards gained in a championship game, second only to Timmy Smith who gained 204 yards in Super Bowl XXII on January 31, 1988.

Alstott scored 12 touchdowns as a sophomore, 14 as a junior and 11 as a senior, and held the Purdue rushing touchdown record with 39 until Kory Sheets broke it in 2008.
