Players take control of high school baseball team in Japan, either as a player on the team or as a manager, and attempt to lead that team to the National High School Baseball Championship at Koshien Stadium.
Hanshin Tigers also use the stadium as their "home field" for their season openers and their home games in August because their stadium, Koshien Stadium, is used for high school baseball tournaments during those periods.
Players get to play in either a dome resembling the Tokyo Dome in Japan or Rogers Centre in Toronto, a contemporary baseball stadium (with homages to Japan's Koshien Stadium or Chicago's Wrigley Field), or in traditional-style stadium style (reminiscent of Chiba Marine Stadium in Japan or Busch Memorial Stadium in St. Louis).
The band's song "Ryoho for you" (両方 For You) was chosen as the 2007 summer Koshien baseball tournament official theme song.
