Widiker was born 27 April 1982 in Kostanay, Kazakhstan, as one of three children as an ethnic German in Kazakhstan in 1982.
Alexei Bondarenko (born August 23, 1978, in Kostanay, Kazakhstan) is a gymnast who competed for Russia from 1996 to 2004.
He was buried in Kostanay where a bronze bust was erected in his memory, and a street in the town was also named in his honour.
