Its success induced the neighbouring chief of the Raja of Kottarakkara (Kottarakkara Thampuran) to request the Zamorin for the loan of a troupe of performers on the eve of some festive occasion.
He was born in an Ezhava family to Raman and Kunjaliamma on April 30, 1909 in Kuzhikkalidavaka village in Puthoor, Kottarakkara.
Present Diocese of Punalur extended to the entire civil district of Pathanamthitta, taluks of Kottarakkara, Kunnathur, Mavelikara and several pakuthies of the taluks of Karunagappally and Chengannur.
