After the election,he went back to teaching and was posted to a school in the Kwale district, named Samburu primary school, at Maji ya Chumvi.
Until the creation of Delta State in 1991, it was formerly with the Ndoshimili LGA with headquarters located in Kwale, in the defunct Bendel state.
