A former insurance policy draughtsman, and a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), Sharp performed on stage before his war service in the Royal Artillery (1940–46).
Dick trained as a dancer at Joy Irvings dance & Wendy Allens School of dance in Carlisle as a child then at Elmhurst Ballet School in Surrey, moving on to Cumbria Institute of the Arts and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), although he had already worked professionally as a child actor.
In 2009, she joined LAMDA (the London Academy of Music and Drama) and had a role in Gainsbourg, vie héroïque directed by Joann Sfar.
As an affiliate of the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama, LAMDA receives funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). This means that eligible UK/EU students are able to access loans to assist with their tuition fees and maintenance costs.
Our acting curriculum follows the syllabus of the London Academy of Music and Drama Art (LAMDA), and singing lessons are taught to Trinity Guildhall Singing standards.
