In 2006, History tried to set the record straight regarding the North Hollywood shootout as it remains to this day as one of the most influential events of modern American history, ranking third overall of documented U.S. events of recent years behind 9/11 and the War on Terror according to the History Channel.


1993–94 Houston Rockets season

Earlene Brown

Earlene began her participation in track and field activities as a member of LAPD Deputy Auxiliary Police after it was introduced on September 9, 1943, by Mayor Fletcher Bowron.

Elizabeth Linington

LAPD Hooper Heliport

The Piper Technical Center is also used as a parking lot for some of the LAPD's motor pool including marked and un-marked units, vans, buses, motorcycles, and the V-100 SWAT armored cars.

Mark Riebling

From 2002 to 2006 Riebling served as Research Director for the Center for Policing Terrorism, which partnered with LAPD Chief William Bratton to create and administer the National Counter Terrorism Academy.
