Ladakh Range

In the Laddakh range there is India's cold desert named as ' LEH '.

Mian Ghulam Jilani

Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd Tour

Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd Tour was the first major concert tour by American Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The 11 cities on the tour from November 20 to December 6 saw the band opening for the British rock group The Who.


Baltia butleri

Demchok

Namgyal dynasty of Ladakh

Sengge Namgyal (r. 1616-1642), known as the 'Lion' King made efforts to restore Ladakh to its old glory by an ambitious and energetic building program including the Leh palace and the rebuilding of several gompas, the most famous of which are Hemis and Hanle.

The band's national exposure began in 1973 with the release of their debut album, (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd), which has a string of hits and fan favorites including: "I Ain't the One", "Tuesday's Gone", "Gimme Three Steps", "Simple Man," and their signature song, "Free Bird", which he later dedicated to the late Duane Allman of The Allman Brothers Band.
