La Fiebre

The musical group La Fiebre has become one of Latin Music’s most influential bands standing with other major Tex-Mex bands such as La Mafia and La Sombra, paving the way for future Tejano bands.

La Sombra

Originally from the Chicago suburb of Aurora, Illinois, the group gained national acclaim and success after moving to Corpus Christi, Texas, the headquarters of their label, Freddie Records.


Cumbia rap

Early Tex-Mex or Onda Chicana acts such as La Mafia, La Sombra & Selena y Los Dinos experimented with rap lyrics over cumbia beats in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Its members were from different towns and neighborhoods around the city: Mucho Muchacho from El Prat, Dive Dibosso from San Andrés/Sant Andreu and later member Eddy la Sombra from Sabadell.

Later, Eddy Drammeh (aka Eddy La Sombra) joined them as a rapper; and they took Russian DJ Vadim behind the turntable.

The Fantasticamania events has hosted thirteen championship matches, with three title changes; Ryusuke Taguchi defeated Máscara Dorada to win the CMLL World Welterweight Championship, Apollo 55 (Prince Devitt and Ryusuke Taguchi) defeated Golden☆Lovers (Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega) to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship and La Sombra defeated Dragón Rojo, Jr. to win the NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship.
