La Vall d’Uixó is surrounded by few cities in la Plana Baixa: Almenara, Alfondeguilla, La Llosa, Moncofa, Nules and Xilxes and bordes on Valencia’s province with Sagunto.

The Basque Pelota events were held from 25 July to 5 August in the Olympic area of Vall d'Hebron, where a 54m long court, a 36m long court, and a trinquet were built and a 30m long court was refurbished.
After encamping in Montpellier from the end of 1236 through the beginnings of 1237, the army concentrated on Teruel and followed the Palancia River, taking La Vall d'Uixó, Nules, and Almenara.
The ones held in Alcoi are by far the most famous and spectacular, and is televised live on Canal Nou television as well as occasionally on state channel TVE.
