Panton's daughter, Catherine Panton-Lewis, is a professional golfer and was a founding member of the Ladies European Tour.
She turned professional in 1985 and has spent much of her career on the Ladies European Tour, where she has won several tournaments including a Women's British Open title in 1993 (before that tournament was an LPGA major championship).
The complex has staged numerous important competitions such as the Ladies European Tour qualifying school and the Spanish Pairs final, won by Miguel Ángel Jiménez and Andrés Jiménez.
