1965 UCI Road World Championships – Men's road race

The Men's Individual Road Race of the 1965 UCI Road World Championships cycling event took place on 5 September in Lasarte-Oria, Basque Country, Spain.


Basque dance

The best known of these dances can be seen in the town of Lasarte-Oria.

Sorgin Dantza from Oria (Gipuzkoa) is a comical or a burlesque dance that reach their peak in the Sorgin Dantza, or dance of the witches.

Ciriè

In 1576 the Savoy family exchanges the Ciriè area with an access to the sea with the Doria Marquis of Genoa: Gian Gerolamo D'Oria establishes his residence in Ciriè, starting the long dynasty (the D'Oria e del Maro di Ciriè) which ruled the city till the last Marquis Emanuele D'Oria, who becomes the first mayor when Ciriè, in force of a royal decree, is established a "city" in 1905.
