On 6 September 2016 the West Coast Eagles Football Club announced that it has entered into a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with the Town of Victoria Park to develop a new home for the club at Lathlain Park with plans to build $50 million state-of-the-art headquarters, which will be one of the premier sporting club facilities in Australia.

Lathlain Park (currently known as Brownes Stadium under a ground sponsorship arrangement) is an Australian rules football ground, located in Lathlain, an inner-eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia.
On 11 July 1959, the club moved into the premises at the ground, known as Lathlain Park, and went on to win premierships in 1966-1968 and 1976-1977.
