Alexander Lawton Mackall (Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 23, 1888 — West New Brighton, Staten Island, New York, 1968) was an author, journalist and gastronomy expert and critic.
Lawton currently sits on the advisory council for Richard Branson’s foundation, Virgin Unite Canada, whose mandate is to unite people to tackle tough social and environmental problems with an entrepreneurial approach.

April Lawton (July 30, 1948 – November 23, 2006) was a guitarist and composer who rose to some prominence in the early to mid-1970s as a member of the band Ramatam, which also included at one time former Iron Butterfly guitarist Mike Pinera and the former Jimi Hendrix drummer Mitch Mitchell, and Russ Smith (bass & vocals), and Tommy Sullivan (keyboards, reeds, vocals).
Prior to being elected lieutenant governor in 2002, Lawton won the Democratic primary for Lieutenant Governor in 1998 and ran alongside the party's nominee for governor, attorney Ed Garvey.

On January 6, 2014 Lawton was named the President and CEO of Americans for Campaign Reform, an advocacy organization based in Washington D.C. chaired by former Senators Bill Bradley (D-NJ), Bob Kerrey (D-NE), and Alan Simpson (R-WY).
Lawton died in Brighton on 14 August 2008 following a battle with Alzheimer's disease.
