The International School of Lausanne (ISL) is an English-language day school located in the small village of Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, just north of Lausanne, Switzerland.
Like its neighbouring communes, Le Mont was part of the Principality of Salm-Salm until 1793.
The system is operated by Transports publics de la région lausannoise (TL) – formerly Tramways Lausannois – and comprises 10 trolleybus lines, serving not only Lausanne, but also the neighbouring municipalities of Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, Lutry, Paudex, Prilly, Pully and Renens.
The Karam family trace their origins to a French colonel that came from Le Mont, France and settled in Jerusalem in 1098.
