The Poland-wide Youth Meeting Lednica 2000 (known as Lednica) is a major annual gathering of Polish Catholic youth, organized near Poznań in Lednica (near the Lednica lake, which is believed to be the place where the first Polish monarch, Mieszko I was baptized in 966).
Possession of Podmanitzky, with a hard centre Považský hrad withstood attacks of king's army led by Katzainer, to whom Trencin gave up in the summer of 1528, but they even gained new possessions around Lednica.
In this area, Lednica castle is located, perhaps the most inaccessible one amongst the castles in Slovakia.
