A uniform was originally designed by a committee that included Irish artist Seán Keating, consisting of a saffron léine (a form of tunic) with six rows of black braid and black cuffs, a blue brat (a fringed medieval shawl/cloak), tight pantaloons and a black Balmoral cap with saffron feather.
He also designed the bridge from the Leineschloss across the Leine River and the Neustädter Kirche, built 1667 to 1670 as an early aisleless church.
The Grindau rises in the Viehbruch near Wedemark-Plumhof and flows initially westwards via Lindwedel, Adolfsglück, Hope, Esperke to the village of Grindau, where it discharges into the Leine.
Based on the life of the powerful German prince Henry the Lion, the opera was first performed on 30 January 1689 in Hannover to inaugurate the new royal theatre in the Leineschloss (Leine Palace).
Its southern bound is near the town of Duderstadt and its northern bound is near Osterode, while its western bound is near the River Leine and its eastern bound corresponds to the present-day eastern border of Lower Saxony.
It measures about 3.5 kilometres in length and is situated within the triangle formed by the settlements of Alfeld, Delligsen and Duingen.
This zone is a succession of grabens that run from the Rhone Valley through the Rhine Rift, the Wetterau and the Gießen Basin, below the Vogelsberg foothills to the Amöneburg Basin, and from there over the Neustadt Saddle in the West Hesse Depression and continuing along the Leine Graben to the Oslo Rift valley.
He also regularly collaborates with visual artists and filmmakers HC Gilje, Joost Rekveld and Stefanos Tsivopoulos, as well as choreographers Leine & Roebana, Guy & Roni, and theatre maker Paul Koek.
