Vintage Swiss made Lenco and Lenco OEM/re-badged Barthe, Benjamin, Bogen, Goldring, Grundig, Komet, and Voxon turntables used a vertical "idler-drive" to rotate the platter, as opposed to a belt drive or more recent direct drive turntables.
