Lenny LaCour, the owner of Lucky Four Records, encouraged Blazonczyk, at the age of 22, to specialize in polka music, rather than to continue as a rockabilly singer.
The follow-up sides, "My Suspicious Heart" and "After School," done at the same session as the first record, failed to chart, though "After School" became associated with her and was covered by Teresa Brewer, and her last recordings, produced by Lenny LaCour, were released in 1961.
"Rock 'n' Roll Romance" was LaCour's biggest hit, described by LaCour as "the only million seller not to be on the Billboard charts".
