Leslie Orme Wilson

From 1932 to 1942, Leslie Wilson was the Chief Scout of the Queensland's Boy Scout Association, resigning in 1942 when he disagreed with the decision to make the Chief Commissioner of the Scouts a paid position.

Walter Taylor Bridge

The bridge was opened on 14 February 1936 by the Governor of Queensland, Sir Leslie Wilson.
