31 March 2006: a Team Let 410 UVP-E20 registration PT-FSE operating flight 6865, en route from Macaé to Rio de Janeiro-Santos Dumont crashed over the Municipality of Rio Bonito.
Previously, the airline ACES flew between this airport and Medellin several times per day on aircraft including the Let L-410 Turbolet, Cessna 206 and Twin Otter.
The aircraft involved, a Let L-410 Turbolet, was operating Central American Airlines' scheduled domestic service from Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport, San Pedro Sula.
After the Second World War the company was re-established and manufactured many different aircraft types, including the Let L-200 Morava, Zlín Z 37, and Aero L-29 Delfín.

In 1957 the company began to develop the L-200 Morava light utility aircraft and four years later the Z-37 Cmelak agricultural aircraft, which were both a commercial success.
During the 1970s & 1980s, the Gliding Federation of Australia recognized the potential fatigue-life limitations of the Blaník and in conjunction with the Ansett Airlines NDT laboratory and the Civil Aviation Authority of Australia developed an inspection programme culminating in the issue of GFA AD-369, designed to monitor the condition of the fatigue-critical components.

This variant is similar in concept to the modified Janus once operated by the DFVLR (today the DLR, or German Aerospace Center) for the same purpose.

In United States Air Force Academy service, it is designated TG-10C and is used for basic flight training.

Less experienced pilots (however this is not a condition) fly with two-seater training gliders - ASK21, DG Flugzeugbau DG-1000 or L-13AC - an aerobatics version of LET L-13 Blaník.
Until June 2010 Trade Air operated scheduled flights between Zagreb, Ljubljana and Sarajevo with two Let L-410 Turbolet aircraft.
