Franz Joseph Andreas Nicolaus Unger (30 November 1800 in Gut Amthof near village Leutschach in Styria, Austria – 13 February 1870 in Graz) was an Austrian botanist, paleontologist and plant physiologist.
It encompasses the Kozjak Hills north of the Drava River and partially extends into Austria, including the Leutschach area.
The name Lučine, like similar toponyms (e.g., Luče, Leutschach < Lučane), is derived from the Slavic personal name *Ľubъkъ and likely refers to an early inhabitant of the place.
